Flying Dixon eyes Needler prize

Scott Dixon could be double-handed in the Hilary Needler Trophy Fillies' Conditions Stakes at Beverley.

Dixon, who saddled his first 2-y-o winner of the turf campaign at Southwell on Monday with Misu Moneypenny, has entered Krystallite and Socialites Red.

Both finished second on their respective debuts - Krystallite at Thirsk and Socialites Red at Wolverhampton.

Yvette Dixon told www.cdhorseracingtours.com: "The Hilary Needler race is ground dependant - fillies need to be kept sweet and happy and Scott is always mindful of their future careers and nothing would be rushed into. A careful decision making process and a plan with the owners is first and foremost in Scott's plans for this race."

Dixon, has a team of 16 two-year-olds this season and others who hold eye-catching entries later this year include Albert Boy, Rupert Boy, Bomber Etches and Sarabi.

Shares are available in a smashing two-year-old filly, who has been working with winner Misu Moneypenny.

Even Stevens, who is owned by the Doncaster Racing Club (along with Misu Moneypenny), could line-up in the Investec Specialist Bank 'dash' on Derby Day at Epsom. Shares at just £500 for the year are still available.

Dixon added: "Forward entries are currently under planning for both Even Stevens at Mussleburgh in addition to Epsom - Misu Moneypenny as the other fillies - will go where the ground and race suits best."
