Tony McCoy, who called time on his glittering career as a jockey in April, will ride Gannicus in the Clipper Logistics Leger Legends Classified Stakes at Doncaster.
A racing legend himself McCoy rode in his 17,630th and final race at Sandown Park, is due to get the leg-up on the Brendan Powell-trained Gannicus, a winner last time out.
McCoy retired from the saddle after lifting 20 titles and a staggering 4,348 winners.
The charity race, run over the straight mile at Town Moor has attracted a field of 16 runners, and aims to raise money for Northern Racing College and the Injured Jockeys Fund's Jack Berry House.
